    Discussion of safe mining technique above high confined aquifers

    • For exploiting the tenth coalbed safely above high confined aquifers, this paper put forward to the strip-partial mining and adopted comprehensive measures to control water disasters. Firstly, based on the analysis of the geological and the hydrogeological condition, grouting method and dewatering depression were not feasible under the normal mining and strip-partial mining was put forward. Secondly, according to the rules, with the guidance of "down three zones" theory the paper calculated the mine width under and coal pillar width in different depth based on the thickness of aquifuge and safe aquifuge depth and permeable failure depth in the coalbed floor and damage of rockmass. Lastly, the coalmine should adopt comprehensive measures to control water disasters such as exploring the hydrogeological condition of the aquifers under the coalbed and remaining coal pillar for faults and improving the drainage system. The results will guide the coal mine exploit the tenth coalbed safely above high confined aquifers.
