Research on status and progress of porphyry copper deposits

The porphyry copper deposits are an important type of Cu deposits.The knowledge of this mineralization is very significant in the direction of ore prospecting practice.Based on the collection and arrangements of documents on porphyry copper deposits,we summary a recent development on porphyry copper deposits,such as concept,temporal-spatial distribution,metallogenetic structural environment,wallrock alteration、the mineralization zoning and genetic model.We hope this paper could provide reference for the prospecting practice and metallogentic theory.
