UTILIZATION OF ABANDONED UNDERGROUND WORKINGS TO STORE INDUSTRIAL WASTES

The rapid increase of industrial wastes and their disposal have caused serious contamination of ecological environment.In the meantime,there are a lot of abandoned underground workings in mines.The paper analyses the peasibility of using these workings to store these wastes.Types of workings and their geological conditions,technology and equipment needed for waste disposal,economic benifits of and rules for disposal have been discussed.
