RELATION BETWEEN GROUND STRESS BEHAVIOUR AND PROPERTIES OF SURROUNDING ROCK

So-called "ground stress" is a natural stress existing in earth crust and isn't disurbed yet bymining. The strength and directions of the stress difined by many factors. This paper discusses the distribution regularity of ground stress through analysing the practically measured results gotten from four China'smetal ore mines by Beijing University of Science & Technology in recent years, and points out that thestress strength out only presents a favorable linear relation with the depth of measured points, but also hasa certain concern with the properties of surrounding rock.
