Assessment of the competitiveness of state-owned geological exploration units

The state-owned geological exploration units are the main force of geological exploration industry,and the degree of their competitive abilities determines the future development of each unit,as well as the ore-search breakthrough in China.For systematic reviewing state-owned geological exploration units comprehensive competitiveness,we use factor analysis method.In terms of talent levels,equipment construction,operations,profitability,exploration ability,development ability,and from the perspective of the total,percapital,speed-up and other considerations,this paper sets an objective index system which can evaluate its competitiveness and which includes 6 first grade indexes,37 second grade indexes.Then it confirms the power of each factor by expert mark and variation coefficient method,and develops a detailed evaluation process.The paper discusses some ways to improve the competitiveness of state-owned geological exploration units.Reviewing state-owned geological exploration units comprehensive competitiveness can serve industry administration decision-making,and provide reference for promoting their strength.
