Research into planning guidance during the transformation of resource-based cities:a case study of Xuzhou city

Planning guidance is an important approach to promoting spatial structure transformation of resource-based cities.The resource-regenerating city,Xuzhou,is deeply analyzed from its spatial morphology and structure problems encountering from the stage of recession to regeneration in this paper.Based on the results,the transformation of spatial planning guidance in Xuzhou and the process response of city development from 1990 son has been summarized from the following five aspects:the completion of urban planning system,the transformation of city's spatial morphology and construction land structure,the enlarge scale of city and the improvement of the urban green space.It finally puts forward several suggestions,including exploring the cooperative planning mechanism for industrial and mining land,promoting cityindustry integration,integrating ecological resources,so as to it can provide reference for other cities.
