ROCK BOLTING DESIGN BASED ON THEORIES OF SELF-STABILIZED HIDDEN ARCH

    • Based on the generalized theories of anchorage, limit of bearing capacity of rockmass is delimited into the yielding range for the first time according to the design on theories of self-stabilized hidden arch.lt is considered that the main function of rock bolting is to control dilatancy and destroy in bolted surrounding rockmass, such as delamination, sliding and fracture opening,to maintain the completeness of surrounding rockmass to maximum extension, and to avoid harmful deformation, and considered that the limit self-stabilized hidden arch is probably the maximum stable boundary of surrounding rockmass of underground roadway. It is studied by using the finite difference method(FLAC2D) in this paper, then the curvilinear equation of self-stabilized hidden arch and limit self-stabilized hidden arch is derived, and provide a reference for the rock bolting of roadway.
