From dressing plants of mines,a large quantity of tailings is generated year by year.Tailings utilization which not only creates benifit to the mines but also mitigates environmental pollution is therefore of great importance to achieving sustainable development of mining industry.The paper descibes research achievements and successful practices of Wuhan Iron & Steel Complex in this field.
