THE TREND FORECAST OF COAL-BED METHANE INDUSTRY IN CHINA

Coal-bed methane resource in China is rich.But coal-bed methane industry in China is in the growth phase.Exploration and development of coal-bed methane in China has its particularity for its geolog-ical conditions of coal-forming process and coalification are different from the US.At present our country basically meets the exploration and development requirement which the US had in the late 1980s.On the a-nalogy of growth pattern of reserves and production in the US,three phases were forecast for the develop-ment of coal-bed methane industry in China: preparatory phase,starting-up phase and quickly growing up phase.The production of coal-bed methane in 2010,2020 and 2030 was supposed to 100×108m³,300× 108m³ and 470×108m³ individually.Coal-bed methane is going to improve China’s energy structure availa-bly,and become general energy indispensable supplements.
