Research on the present situation and development trend of digital resources of geological data:a case study of National Geological Archives

Digital resources of geological data as a kind of information resource，which contains very valuable informations.The types of digital resources of geological data are various，such as，service catalog system，digital data resources，thematic database，metadata database，service product library，and network information resources.National Geological Archives of China have made some achievements about construction of digital resources of geological data.With the development and popularization of computer and information technology，there are some proplems in digital resources of geological data，i.e.the regulatory policy system，sharing mechanism，fine-grained metadata information collection and joint cataloging，visual management and services，related data research，and the digital resources of original geological data.And these aspects are also the future of China's digital resources of geological data management and service development trends.In this paper，with the problems and development trend of the digital resources of geological data in China，it proposes some measures to enhance the geological data management and service level of resources，including should be combined with the advanced theories and techniques of the world，breaking the information barriers，establishing the corresponding legal policy system，paying attention to the original geological data resource management，joint geological records at all levels of institutions，and so on.
