Experimental study on settling properties of slime water from taifeng coal preparation plant

Taifeng coal preparation plant could not be normal production due to coal slime water settling uncomfortably.In order to solve the problem,the analysis on size composition of slime water has been carried out and then slime water settlement test has been completed.It turned out that the reason why slime water was settled uncomfortably was that serious muddy gangue resulted in fines increased in coal slime water.Joint use of flocculant and polycoagulant could make slime water settle comfortably.On the basis of settlement test in the laboratory,combined with production in the coal preparation plant,Joint use of reagents TDN2140+TDX1220 and optimized adding reagents,it has achieved that classified water height in thickening tank was increased from 40 mto 1000m,circulating water concentration has been decreased from 130g/L to 10g/L and filter press cycle has been shortened from 90 min to 28 min so that slime water settlement is improved obviously.
