    Application of the IP sounding to search concealed orebody in a copper polymetallic ore exploration area in Tibet

    • Large areas in the exploration area in Tibet is covered with dust,in order to prospect target rapidly and find out the electrical property and the geological condition in deep,we carried out a geophysical sounding in the favorable areas.Physical measurement and experiment showed that the rock and ore in there generally have high resistance characteristics,it is difficult to carry out effective comparison and analysis.So we selected the DC electrical sounding of induced polarization.By sounding,we have known the nature and distribution of the underlying high polarization body preliminarily and guided the borehole layout.The engineering construction achieved good result and guided the follow-up survey.This paper introduces the working method and measuring effect in detail in order to provide a reference about the exploration of the deep porphyry copper polymetallic ore in similar areas.
