EXPLOITATION AND UTILIZATION OF COAL-BED GAS RESOURCE——PROGRESS OF STUDY ON ADSORBENTS FOR METHANE SEPARATION

Coal-bed gas resource in china is very abundant and gas reserves is the third of world.Its main composition is methane,but the utilization of methane is low.The main reason is that it is very difficult.For PSA,the key is the choice and preparation of methane adsorbent.This paper looked back general situation of technology of adsorption and separation and the development progresses of methane adsorbent.As for the prospect of further manufacture of bentonite resource and the present situation of study on mineral substance such as rock and coal adsorbing methane,author firstly discussed the possibility to modify bentonite as the methane adsorbent and thought that it is feasible.
