Study on the beneficiation technology of a refractory limonite ore of Sichuan

Based on analysis of the property and characteristics of a refractory limonite ore of Sichuan,beneficiation tests were made on the processes of gravity separation,high intensity magnetic separation,and high intensity magnetic-reverse flotation,which all achieved a very low grade and recovery of iron concentrate.Based on the optimal conditional tests, a process consisting magnetized roasting-high intensity magnetic-reverse flotation was adopted. producing an iron concentrate assaying Fe 60.59%at a Fe recovery of 79.30%.This study has laid a foundation for the exploitation and utilization of this iron ore of Sichuan and can also be used as reference and directive to the exploitation and utilization of other similar iron deposits.WT
