Research into application of hydrocyclone in tailings filling and thickening

The tailings pulp are concentrated by vertical sand bin formerly in the filling stations of Cangshan iron mine and liguanji iron mine of Sinosteel.The disadvantage of is insufficiency of air pressure for mudmaking,high concentration of overflow and low utilization ratio of talings that can't meet the requirement of filling.The experiment results show that good effect is obtained in the thickening of tailings by hydrocyclone.After reform by hydrocyclone,the filling stations are operating well.The concentration of thickened tailing is more than 65%and the utilization ratio of tailings is more than 70%,which can provide enough tailings and effective concentration for filling,achieve the balance of mining filling and reduce operation cost.
