FLOATABILITY STUDY OF GALENA,SPHALERITE AND PYRITE OF HUIZE LEAD-ZINC ORE

Abstract
The effects of ZnSO4 and soluble starch were tested on the floatability of galena, sphalerite and pyrite, providing theoretical base for floatable processes such as stepwise floatability ranking flotation of lead and sulfur of Huize Lead-Zinc Ore. The result of the tests indicated that in the flotation system using ethyl xanthate, ZnSO4 and soluble starch strongly depressioned sphalerite, but had little impact on the floatability of galena and pyrite, which shared similar floatability.
