Resources survey and exploitation situation of coal-derived minerals in China

China has the abundant coal-derived mineral resources with the well characteristics of various kinds,wide distribution and high quality.Indeed,some of minerals are important dominant minerals.Comprehensive exploitation and utilization of coal and minerals resources would take advantages of saving investments,increasing economic benefits,prolonging service life and ensuring the sustainable development.The authors briefly summarized the general situation of coal-derived minerals such as kaolin,bentonite,refractory clay,diatomite,graphite,pyrite,and other beneficial elements of germanium,vanadium,gallium,and uranium.Furthermore,current situation and problems in exploiment and untilization were discussed.Exploitation trend and research directions of comprehensive utilization t of coal-derived minerals resources were prospected.
