THE RELATION OF BENCH HEIGHT TO TRANSPORT WORK CONTENT OF ORE AND ROCK

This paper describes the composition and calculation of transport distance in open-pit mines, and also describes the average transport work content of ore and rock to be mined out and its relation with bench height. The research result showed that the average transport work content of ore and rock in open-pit decreases as bench height increasing. Bench height increasing is beneficial to reducing mining cost.
