Current situation of China's low-carbon economy and energy development strategy

With the ever worsening contradictions between the economic & social development and the resource & environment, the development mode of Low-carbon Economy has gradually been recognized, and to promote the scientific development and rational utilization of energy resources has become its main theme. Based on the basic standards of the Low-carbon Economy, this paper analyzes the historical bases for the development of low-carbon economy in China from the three aspects of consumption, emission and environmental pollution of energy. It also tries to figure out the international gap for our country to develop the Low-carbon Economy from the international comparison perspective. And finally, it puts forward some recommendations on China's energy development strategy which are adaptable to the Low-carbon Economy.
