Experimental study on elimination of bursting of natural coke in YongXia coalfield

Abstract
Because of its special geological environment, natural coke formation has special thermal bursting, resulting in the decrease of thermal stability and availability. The purpose of this experiment is to identify ways of elimination of bursting of natural coke. According to the physical and chemical properties and process performance, high-temperature method and fragmentation method were chosen in the test. From the results, the high temperature method process is relatively complex, and the fragmentation method is relatively simple. After elimination of the "thermal explosion", natural coke as fuel could be used in power generation, steel industry, foundry and civilian. It also could be used in gasification, activated carbon and calcium carbide as chemicals.
