Business structure evolution and its enlightenment of geological survey institutionsin Japan and Australia

Researching of foreign well-know geological survey institutions around business structure's evolution and developing trend is instructive to china's geological survey work.Therefore, the paper collected research papers published by Geological survey of Japan(GSJ) and Geoscience Australia(GA) during 1970～2014 from GeoRef database and analyzed those papers around five dimensions including paper amount, disciplines comprehensive degree, key discipline identification and it's evolution, research hotspots and international cooperation by the methods of bibliometric and investigation.At last, the paper summarized the business structure characteristic of these two institutions and put forward some suggestions for china' geological survey institution' future business layout including building a foresight and big-ale business layout idea, combining “asic research”and “pplication research”in research plan, keeping academic integrity of research system, holding an open attitude in research business.
