    Application research on acoustic method to test the loose circle of gently inclined and layered rock masses

    • This study attempted to evaluate the feasibility of sound wave method in detecting the loose circle of layered rock masses in gently inclined residual ores,with performing a case study for Pinglidian mining area 1058.Test points were set with consideration of the engineering geological condition,current status of mining,and the mechanics characteristic of layered rock mass;Then,the sound wave test method was applied to the study area;Finally the loosen zone was defined by interpreting and analyzing the testing data.The results show that acoustic testing method can detect layered rock mass loose circle size reasonably and scientifically with good engineering applicability.
