    Study on monitoring of ground pressure and displacement in underground mining area below a mined open-pit

    • Mining operation in Xingshan iron is just in the transient stage from the open-pit mining to underground mining. In order to understand mining ground pressure and drift deformation in the mine, 8 borehole stress meters and 4 convergence gauges are arranged in No.4 and No.5 mining entrance of-33m level. According to the monitoring results, the mining ground pressure in surrounding rock mass and deformation situation of drift are determined to improve prediction of ground pressure law in the mining area. This is of great significance for safety of the mining production.
