Research on the livability assessment for Zhongyuan urban agglomeration

The paper selects living conditions,ecological environment, economic development, social and cultural,and infrastructure etc five major composite indicators and 26 individual indicators,and uses Analytical Hierar-chy Process to estimate the livability of cities in Zhongyuan urban agglomeration. The results show that livability level in Zhengzhou City is the highest,but certainly score is not high; livability level in others is not significantly different, the overall level of livablility is not high; Urban economic conditions and ecological environment are the key factors that affect the livability level;and Urban livability standard reference value is conducive to comparative study of the region and beyond.
