The research of ecological compensation in Chongqing coal mining area: A case study of Songzao mining area

In this paper,Songzao was selected as the study area,and according to the ecological destruction survey and results of previous studies,a suitable Chongqing Songzao value loss index system of the ecological environment was built.On this basis,using the environmental monitoring,surveys and statistics and other data during 1999-2008year,cumulative value loss of the ecological environment and the residents in Songzao mining area was accounted from 1999to 2008year used value loss method and the restoration cost method,and then according to the principles of ecosystem stability,the ecological compensation amount that should be extracted from per ton of coal was obtained,which could provide a scientific basis for the ecological compensation system in Chongqing.The paper argues that the ecological environment and residents-value had lost 4.46784billion Yuan during ten years in Songzao mining, equivalent to a loss of 118.36 Yuan per ton of coal,and 73.71 Yuan compensation for ecological environment and residents should be extracted per ton of coal in the study area,which the ecological environment compensation should be 42.25 Yuan/ton,and the residents-production and living compensation should be 31.46 Yuan/ton.
