Global mining outlook 2011

Global mining industry continues to recover significantly driven by the strong demand of energy and material in emerging economies. Although exploration and development of mining advances well, the mineral commodity market is still in short supply and the prices keep rising because of the monopoly of mining giants, resource nationalism and trade protectionism. Natural disasters and environment deterioration in mines result in more and more uncertainties and uncontrollability to the sustainable development.
